I say with complete admiration that Martin Seelye is a Renaissance Man! If I were asked to describe Martin, I would say all of the following: meticulous craftsman, master dealmaker, savvy businessman, historian, genealogist, practical intellectual, etc., etc. Most importantly, he’s a devoted family man and a reliably loyal friend.
Given all of the above, ME—MARTIN SEELYE provides a fascinating chronicle of the man’s varied interests and a true history lesson of the greater Glens Falls area over the past 70+ years. The reader gains insights in an entertaining way on how Martin’s often frenetic mind works. Despite the complex areas into which the memoir sometimes delves, the conversational style of his writing makes for a completely enjoyable read.
